JAIPUR: Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer on Saturday, made a main declaration as he branded the Indian Premier League (IPL) bigger than the English Premier League.
The right-handed batter sketched an astonishing contrast while emphasizing the keenness of the profitable league, stating it is important to uphold a peaceful and positive mindset since every side is balanced.
โI believe itโs more modest than even the Premier League. Every team is balanced, and itโs important to maintain a calm and positive mindset. You canโt give to get caught up in hindrances; focus on the present, and tomorrow is always a new day,โ Iyer said.
His remarks came after the Kingsโ six-wicket conquest against Delhi Capitals here at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium.

We lacked discipline with our bowling,โ Iyer admitted. โWe had measured the pitch in the first innings and decided to bowl hard distances and target the bases. But we veered from that plan, trying bouncers when it wasnโt necessary. Itโs a valued lesson for the team.
