The Federation International de Football Association (FIFA) has rewarded a single compliment to Pakistan’s star fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi by containing him beside football legends in a current social media post.
In an Instagram post mutual by the official FIFA World Cup account, Afridi was seen alongside global football images Lionel Messi, Neymar Jr., and Luka Modriฤ athletes all excellently related with the iconic number 10 jersey.
The caption just read, “The iconic,” celebrating global sporting legends who have damaged the legendary number.
According to sources, FIFA’s intent behind the post was to involve Pakistani fans ahead of the coming FIFA World Cup.
Local digital teams are supposedly working on attractive fan appointment through designer social media campaigns in various countries, including Pakistan.
The compliment from FIFA reproduces Afridiโs growing effect and global credit as a participant. He now joins the ranks of legendary sports figures representatively associated with the iconic number 10 jersey.
It is relevant to mention that under Shaheen Afridi’s captaincy, Lahore Qalandars settled the title in the freshly concluded Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 10, defeating Quetta Gladiators by six wickets at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
Chasing a target of 202, the Qalandars needed 13 runs in the final over. Sikandar Raza design to the time, beating a four and a six to seal the win with just one distribution remaining.
With this triumph, Shaheen further lengthy his record as the most successful captain in PSL history.
