Sahibzada Farhan Makes History with Fourth T20 Ton in HBL PSL X

Islamabad United’s Sahibzada Farhan joined a leading group of T20 batters with four centuries in a calendar year after counting a hundred against Peshawar Zalmi in HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 on Monday at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Farhanโ€™s 49-ball century clear his first in the PSL and placed him along T20 greats Chris Gayle (2011), Virat Kohli (2016), Jos Buttler (2022) and Shubman Gill (2023) as the only players to record four T20 hundreds in a single year.

He is the first Pakistani batter to attain this milestone in just nine innings.

His innings helped Islamabad United marker a commanding 243/5 after animation requested to bat first.

The start was unstable, with opener Andries Gous dismissed for a duck through run out by Tom Kohler-Cadmore at 9/1 in 1.2 overs.

However, Farhan and Colin Munro disputed with a fast 100-run stand, bringing the total to 128/1 by the 11th over.

Farhan touched his century off 49 balls, matching the record for the fastest century by an Islamabad United player in PSL history.

His 144-run partnership with Munro, who complete 40, ended when Alzarri Joseph separate the New Zealand batter at 153/2 in the 14th over.

Jason Holder and Ben Dwarshuis added 20 and 18 runs unbeaten, individually, guiding United to a massive total.

Farhanโ€™s knock not only placed the foundation for a likely Islamabad win but also added a significant chapter to his growing T20 bequest.
