The Pakistan Cricket Board on Thursday established that the lasting eight fixtures of the HBL Pakistan Super League 10 will now take place in the UAE.
The PCB distributed a formal declaration on Friday, checking the transfer of the leagueโs final stage, which was initially scheduled to be played crossways Rawalpindi, Multan and Lahore.
The board said a new schedule with efficient sites and dates would be shared soon.
PCB Chair Mohsin Naqvi said the decision was made in reply to what he called an โextremely negligent and dangerous Indian actโ targeting the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
โThis was noticeably done to disturb the ongoing HBL Pakistan Super League X,โ said Naqvi.
โTo confirm the safety of our national and international players, who are our valuable guests, we have decided to move the remaining matches to the UAE,โ he added.
He further added that the cerebral well-being of the players was a key thought, and that the PCB remained dedicated to the continuity of the tournament.
โAs a responsible organization that has overcome hardships recurrently, it was important for us to safeguard the benefits of cricket and ensure that the league continues to thrive,โ Naqvi said.
The matches now to be held in the UAE include:
- Karachi Kings v Peshawar Zalmi
- Peshawar Zalmi v Lahore Qalandars
- Islamabad United v Karachi Kings
- Multan Sultans v Quetta Gladiators
- Qualifier
- Eliminator 1
- Eliminator 2
- Final
The PCB decided by advice all investors to stand by the board as it works to complete the tournament successfully.
