Considered by many as out of form, Babar has been facing inspection for his performances in PSL 10. Though, Hasan satisfied the criticism and confirmed Babarโs value to the national side.
โBabar is our best player, and he will bounce back,โ said Hasan, referencing his earlier remark calling Babar a โkingโ. โWe made Babar the king, and we are also bringing him down. If my words โ โThe King will deliverโ โ hurt anyone, I apologize. But my posture remains unchanged.โ
Hasan also spoke Karachi Kingsโ struggles in their latest match, confessing a top-order failure led to their defeat. โWe lost early wickets, couldnโt build partnerships, and the pressure fixed,โ he said.
The fast bowler, who last contained for Pakistan in May 2024, further spoke about the culture of criticism around players, particularly on social media.
โCriticism for improvement is fine, but when families are directed, it affects everyone,โ he said, referencing incidents from Pakistanโs tour of New Zealand earlier this year. โI understand that as public figures, weโre always under inspection. Our job is to respond with performances.โ
Hasan repeated his commitment to returning to the national squad, saying, โIโm still young and believe in my ability. Presentations here will decide my international future.โ
The 30-year-old was part of Pakistanโs 2017 Champions Trophy-winning side and continues to be a voiced figure in domestic and franchise cricket.
