Hasan Ali Sets Sights on World Cup Glory for Pakistan

LAHORE: Pakistan pacer Hasan Ali on Thursday spoken his strong wish to help Pakistan win the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2026, profession every match and chance to prove himself after a rough fight with injury and restoration.

Language on the Pakistan Cricket Boardโ€™s podcast, Hasan reproduced on his trip back to the national side and the expressive weight of returning to form.

โ€œIf you ask me, I want to play for Pakistan in the World Cup and win it for my country. For me, every match is now an occasion, and I will give my 100 percent,โ€ he said.

The 30-year-old made a spectacular comeback on Wednesday in the first T20I against Bangladesh at Gaddafi Stadium, captivating a five-wicket drag and becoming only the fourth Pakistani bowler to realize this accomplishment in T20Is.

Hasan emphasized that while a playerโ€™s presentation can vary, consistent effort is firm.

โ€œPerformance may differ, but your effort on the field should always be noticeable. At the end of the day, I want to leave the field with the gratification that I provided my all,โ€ he said.

Shiny on his injury and the rehab phase, Hasan said the journey back was filled with tests.

โ€œComing back from injury is never informal. There is a unique pressure to it. I am thankful and proud that I achieved to get fit again. A lot of hard work went into it, and I am finally sighted the results,โ€ Hasan said.

He labelled his return to the Pakistan team as a dream come true and repeated his purpose to perform at the highest level.

โ€œIt feels like a dream has come true. I am very happy and committed to performing well for the team. There is no supernumerary for hard work,โ€ he concluded.
