The Pakistan cricket squad has left for New Zealand from Lahore Airport via Dubai, heading to Christchurch for their coming journey.

The five-match T20 International series between Pakistan and New Zealand is scheduled to begin on March 16.

The squad for the tour contains young talents Abdul Samad and Hassan Nawaz, both of whom have been nominated for the national team for the first time.

Pakistanโ€™s vice-captain, Shadab Khan, stated his excitement about his new responsibilities, stating, โ€œI have been commended with an additional role, and I will try my best to perform well.โ€

He more highlighted the dynamism within the team, saying, โ€œThere are various beginning players in the squad. The dynamism and positivity of youth are dissimilar. We have high prospects from the debutants, and we hope to attain success.โ€

Temporarily, New Zealand has included seven players from their Champions Trophy finalist squad for the series. All-rounder Michael Bracewell has been appointed as the teamโ€™s captain.
