Police Earn Praise for Maintaining Security during PSL

LAHORE: Lahore Police made excellent security arrangements for 10th version of Pakistan Super League (PSL) that decided quietly at the Gaddafi Stadium on Sunday night.

DIG Operations Faisal Kamran celebrated the force for its positive duty and thanked all related sections for their cooperation.

A four-tier security barrier was recognized for the final match, with over 11,000 police personnel organized. DIG Operations, SSP Operations, all SPs, and other senior officers were present in the field themselves.

Walk-through entries and modern skimming systems were connected at stadium entry points, while unceasing shadowing was maintained via CCTV cameras inside and around the stadium. Snipers were located on high-rise buildings, and police touring was strengthened on major roads.

DIG Operations specified that all units including the Bomb Disposal Squad, Dolphin Force, Elite Force, and others remained fully attentive. Close organization was maintained with associated departments, particularly Rescue 1122, which was also on high alert. Female police officers were organized for the suitability and safety of women audiences.

Faisal Kamran emphasized that beside security, the soul of public service was also endorsed. Families of sacrifices and wounded officers were specially invited to the match as honored guests. Police staffs, volunteers, peons, and office staff with outstanding performance were also given VIP status and recognized for their assistances. He expressed thankfulness to citizens for their cooperation during security checks and acclaimed the patience and support of inhabitants living around Gaddafi Stadium.
