LAHORE: Quetta Gladiators’ team director Sarfaraz Ahmed stated his gratitude and satisfaction after his side protected a advert in the final of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10, crediting the team’s collective performance and strong leadership for their positive campaign.
Speaking at the post-match press conference, the previous Pakistan captain said Quetta’s undoubted performance had rightfully received them a place in the final.
“First of all, we thank Almighty Allah for serving us reach the final. Quetta played actually well today and deserved the win,” Sarfaraz said.
Sparkly on the team’s fights in current seasons, the wicketkeeper batter painted the extraordinary reversal this year and acclaimed Captain Saud Shakeel’s management as a key factor behind the rebirth.
“We haven’t played fit in the last few seasons, but this time, we’ve achieved remarkably. Saud has done an excessive job with the captaincy this season,” he well-known.
He also emphasized the weakness in squad depth and the advantage of playing on acquainted ground in Lahore, which served as Quetta’s home venue this season.

The previous Pakistan captain also took the occasion to praise the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and tournament organizers for positively bracing the PSL, which had faced uncertainty due to tensions between India and Pakistan.
“We want the players to rest for a day and then start making for the final. And who knows maybe it’ll rain and we win!” he said.
“The PCB, PSL organization and franchises justify credit for reviving the tournament and delivering a successful season,” he decided.
It is relevant to mention that Saud-led Quetta Gladiators protected a spot in the PSL 10 final after defeating the protecting champions on Wednesday.
For the unexperienced, Lahore Qalandars will take on Karachi Kings in the Eliminator match at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, on Thursday.
The winner of that match will face Islamabad United in Qualifier 2 on May 23, with the winner advancing to meet Quetta Gladiators in the grand finale on May 25.
