Former Australian legend and present Karachi Kings captain David Warner has confirmed his participation in the residual matches of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) X.
According to Australian media stories, Warner stated confidence in the leagueโs continuation and is projected to return to Pakistan to fulfill his commitment to the tournament.
Related Australian cricketer Ben McDermott is also development to travel back to Pakistan to take part in the residue of the PSL, according to Australian media.
The PSL was briefly suspended due to increasing tensions between India and Pakistan, as well as an event occurred near the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
As a result, several distant players left Pakistan, making uncertainty about the tournament’s conclusion.
Originally, there were thoughts to shift the remaining features to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) due to security concerns.
Though, following a ceasefire contract and following directives from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chose to resume the tournament on home soil.
It is relevant to mention that theย Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi formally announced the revised schedule for the remainder of PSL 10ย on Tuesday.
In a post on his authorized X (formerly Twitter) account, Naqvi confirmed that the league will resume on May 17 and conclude with the grand final on May 25.
The choice follows a series of conferences between the PCB and franchise councils to ensure the safe and smooth conclusion of the leagueโs remaining eight matches.
Temporarily, Warner, one of the most luxurious picks in the PSL draft, has writhed to find form in his entrance season.
In eight matches, the left-hander has scored just 164 runs at an average of 20.50, although he has upheld an impressive strike rate of 150.45.
For the unexperienced, the Karachi Kings are currently second on the PSL 10 points table with 10 points, having won five out of eight matches.
