Once again, in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), no Veracity Officers have been selected with the teams.

All anti-corruption matters are being touched only by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in this year’s PSL. Though, for safety matters, a distant company is aggressively working along the board.

According to particulars, the PCB has applied very severe anti-corruption measures in the PSL. After a few events in the early years, no major gears have surfaced in recent seasons. Originally, the ICC Anti-Corruption Unit was also complex, but that repetition has now been finished. Sources said that this time as well, no Reliability Officers have been sited with the teams. Formerly, an official would attend each team to protect players from distrustful individuals, often choosing former officers of security activities for this role.

Sources exposed that this year, the PCBโ€™s Anti-Corruption Department alone is supervision all matters. Its officers are present at team hotels too, execution their duties subtly without representation attention. All teams have been given lectures on anti-corruption procedures and were shown documents and videos to help them identify distrustful individuals and stay away from them.

PCB sources specified that the appointment of Reliability Officers was finished from last year. Being a domestic event, there is no need to involve the ICC Anti-Corruption Unit, and the PCBโ€™s own department is handling everything.

Its officials continue in contact with the council year-round, keeping themselves updated on all pertinent matters. So far, no accounts of any distrustful activities have been received. During the event, international cricket-level protocols are in place.

For security matters, a distant company is also working with the board, which provides facilities to the ICC and other cricket boards as well. This is one of the reasons why foreign cricketers feel thankful.
