As the squads for the T20 World Cup 2024 Super 8 are definite, the 12 teams for the next version in 2026 have also been established.
Theย T20 World Cupย 2026 will also feature 20 teams, distributed into four groups of five sides each. India and Sri Lanka have eligible as hosts while the residual seven teams are the ones who will play the Super 8.
These teams are Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, South Africa, the USA and the West Indies.
The remaining three teams have experienced via the recent ICC T20I grades. These teams are Ireland, New Zealand and Pakistan.
Briefly, the other eight teams will be established via provincial qualifiers.
It obligation be noted that the first match of the Super 8 will now be played between South Africa and the USA in Antigua and Barbuda on June 19. Temporarily, the West Indies will play Scotland in St Lucia.
India and Afghanistan will play each other in their first match of Super 8 in Barbados although Australia will play the second team qualifying from Group D (Bangladesh or the Netherlands) in Antigua.
